Production Dancer / Singer

Job Description:  Singers and Dancers perform in evening production shows; Attend weekly rehearsals. Some cruise ships may require dancers/singers to maintain their own costumes. Singers and Dancers may be required to perform other activities around the ship.

Experience and Skills Required:  Dancers are required to have technical training in Jazz and Ballet; Production Singers must be able to dance; Experience in production shows is preferred; Cruise ship experience is preferred.

Average Salary:  $2,000 to $3,000 per month

 

Stage and Production Manager

Job Description:  Oversees the live show productions; Manages and coaches cast and stage performers; Managing and operates rehearsals for onboard entertainers and production shows; Works closely with Production Manager, Cruise Director, technicians and dance captains.

Experience and Skills Required:  At least five years experience in stage show management with large scale production shows; Post secondary education in theater is preferred; Technician experience in lighting, sound and rigging required.

Average Salary:  $2,200 to $4,000 per month

 

Assistant Production Manager

Other Job Titles:  Head Sound & Light Technician (Royal Caribbean); Audio-Visual Manager (Celebrity Cruises); Audio Visual Operator (Princess Cruises)

Job Description:  Assists the Production Manager in overseeing all audio visual equipment such as speakers, lighting, and microphones. Manages and directs the lighting and sound technicians.

Experience and Skills Required:  Must have experience in both high tech lighting and audio systems; Technical school education preferred; Experience setting up microphones, speakers and playback equipment required.

Average Salary:  $1,700 to $3,000 per month

 

Entertainment Technician – Lounge

Other Job Titles:  Entertainment Technician (Carnival Cruise Lines, Disney Cruise Line); Lounge Technician (Royal Caribbean)

Job Description:  This technician is responsible for both lighting and sound in lounges and other entertainment areas including restaurants and bars.

Experience and Skills Required:  Must have experience in both high tech lighting and audio systems; Technical school education preferred; Experience setting up microphones, speakers and playback equipment required.

Average Salary:  $1,700 to $3,000 per month

 

Lighting Technician

Audio Technician

Job Description:  Responsible for operating the production show audio and control systems.

Experience and Skills Required:  Must have at least two years of experience in the operation and maintenance of audio systems including mixing and microphone techniques; Musical theater experience preferred.

Stage Technician

Job Description:  Responsible for the operation of the automation equipment used in daily and evening shows.

Experience and Skills Required:  Must have minimum of three years experience in the operation of computer automated sets and scenery including flying rigs; Ability to troubleshoot and maintain rigging systems.

Average Salary:  $1,700 to $3,000 per month

 

Stage Staff

Other Job Titles:  Entertainment Technician – Stage (Carnival Cruise Lines), Stage Staff (Royal Caribbean); Entertainment Technician (Disney Cruise Line)

Job Description:  The stage crew assists the technicians and cruise staff with assembling and disassembling props and stage equipment for guest entertainment.

Experience and Skills Required:  At least one year experience in setting up and taking down stage equipment; Background in lighting and sound preferred.

Average Salary:  $1,000 to $2,000 per month
