Transocean Cruises is also known as Transocean Tours and Transocean Kreuzfahrten. Transocean Tours has been around since 1954 although they mostly chartered ships for the German market rather than owning their own fleet.
The cruise line is now owned by Premicon AG, a German-based company which controls a fleet of river cruisers, some operating for Avalon, TUI Cruises and Viking River Cruises.
Transocean Cruises currently operates one ocean-going cruise ship along with four river cruise vessels that ply the rivers of Europe. Their river cruise passengers tend to be either British or American and over the age of 45. Their ocean-going Astor is predominantly German although they do offer some English-speaking cruises, too.
