Hapag Lloyd Cruises is a premium cruise line that caters to German market. Although most crew members can speak English onboard, German is a requisite. The cruise line originates back to the 19th century. Their luxurious cruises include itineraries in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe as well as expedition-style cruises to Antarctica and the Arctic. Their ship, Europa is one of the highest ranking ships in terms of quality, being award 5 stars plus by Berlitz Cruise Guide for multiple consecutive years. All their ships have a distinct character and Bremen and Hanseatic do not offer children’s programming. Their other vessels have a Kids Club (ages 4 to 10) and a Teens Club (ages 11 to 17).
